Publix will anchor the new Millbrook Shopping Center

MILLBROOK, Ala. (WSFA) – Major grocery chain Publix is ​​coming to Millbrook, town officials announced Thursday.

The 47,000 square foot building will be located at the corner of the freeway. 14 and Kelly Blvd., according to a press release. It’s near the Hillcrest Center anchored at Walmart.

“RealtyLink is extremely excited to bring a first-class grocer like Publix to the Millbrook market,” said developer John Whitson. “We are very grateful for the warm welcome and strong support Millbrook has shown us and look forward to providing high quality development to an exceptional community.”

Whitson said the store will include a pharmacy, bakery, deli, flower and produce aisles.

“We are gaining another great partner to help us improve our community,” said Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley. “I would like to thank City Council and our City staff for their hard work in bringing this project to fruition. We welcome the Publix family to our region.

City officials said the mall anchored at Publix will include 6,000 square feet of retail stores and two outdoor lots.

The project is expected to be completed in mid-2024.
