New department store opens in Cumberland County

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Marshalls announced Thursday that it will open a new department store in Shippensburg early next month.

According to the company, the new 24,626-square-foot Shippensburg Mall store at 40 Ship Shopping Center will open Nov. 10 at 8 a.m.

“Our new store in Shippensburg will offer an ever-growing selection of high-quality, on-trend, branded products at the incredible prices that Marshalls is known for. We are thrilled to bring that experience and exceptional values ​​of fashion and beauty home and more to a new neighborhood,” said Tim Miner, President of Marshalls.

According to the release, to celebrate their new store, Marshalls has pledged to donate $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg — a nationwide network that provides various programs for upset children.

The new opening hours for the Marshalls store will be:

  • 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. (Monday – Saturday)
  • 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Sunday)

Marshalls says they expect to create up to 60 full-time and part-time jobs in the surrounding area with the opening of this new store.

Marshalls operates seven locations in the Harrisburg-Lancaster-York area.
