–Clearance discounts of up to 50% off the lowest price offered on family shoes at all 15 locations Ontario
TORONTO, September 15, 2021 /CNW/ — Management Citing Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Physical Stores, Discount Family Shoe Chain Canadian shoe store (CSO) is now holding store closing sales in all 15 locations across Ontario.
“Shoppers will find clearance discounts on all merchandise at our Canadian Shoe Outlet stores,” said Ichan Singh of the CSO. “We focus on selling all merchandise in stores, so prices are as low as 50% off our lowest price.”
Noting that the chain had built a reputation for offering men’s, women’s and children’s shoes, boots and sandals at prices 20-60% below department and specialty store prices, Singh added: “With deep discounts on our everyday low prices, we’re encouraging customers to come in now to find the widest selection of products. The current selection includes our usual range of work, slip and safety footwear, as well as half sizes, wide and tall.
CSO was launched in 2019, taking over the old Payless sites that had closed earlier that year. “We had a great fall/winter season in 2019, but were forced to close all stores in early spring 2020 due to COVID protocols,” Singh said.
“Most of our stores reopened in late summer last year, but gradual closures, regional closures, reduced capacity and other restrictions continued to weigh on the business,” it said. he continued. “Missing the holiday season in 2020 and the summer seasons in 2020 and 2021 made it too difficult for us to continue, forcing us to make the very difficult decision to close the channel.”
